What PressWatch does—and what it does not promise.
What does PressWatch monitor?
Official RSS and Atom feeds, company newsrooms, investor-relations releases, and selected official blogs. You can start from the PressWatch catalog or add and preview a private source.
Is monitoring real time?
Not continuously. PressWatch checks sources on a considerate schedule. Feeds are usually the fastest option, while domain pacing, conditional requests, retries, and backoff help protect source reliability.
Will the first check email old headlines?
No. The first successful check establishes a quiet baseline. Alerts begin with later additions or material changes.
How are relevant alerts selected?
You can monitor all company news or build reusable topics using exact phrases, aliases, any-or-all matching, and exclusions. Signal history records why an item matched.
Can PressWatch detect an updated announcement?
Yes. It records new announcements and can flag material changes to a previously seen item instead of treating every page refresh as new.
Will several findings create several emails?
Related findings from a monitoring run can be grouped into one clear email. Each signal is still retained separately in searchable history.
Is every PressWatch-provided source verified?
No. Provided, live-checked, verified, and reviewing are distinct states. Verified means an administrator reviewed the source and its detected headlines.
What happens when a source fails?
Checks back off and retry automatically. Health and failure history remain visible, and you can edit your source or report a coverage issue.
How do Solo and Pro billing work?
Choose a plan and complete secure checkout through Stripe. Your access updates automatically after Stripe confirms the subscription, and you can manage billing or cancellation from Settings.
Can I join the Team plan?
No. Team is shown as a planned direction only and is not accepting sign-ups yet.
Is this investment advice?
No. PressWatch is a monitoring tool. It does not recommend securities or guarantee complete or instantaneous detection.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. You can export or permanently delete your account data from Settings.
What support is available?
Support is email-based, with a target acknowledgement within two business days. Pro includes priority source investigation and support.
